Easter

There is no greater event to have taken place in all of history – Jesus of Nazareth died and was raised back to life!

  1. The Resurrection Changes Everything
The fact that Jesus is risen changes everything. It is the hinge point of all history. Through it, God secured redemption for all who put their faith in Jesus. The Son of God died, paying the debt of our sin. The Son of God was raised, guaranteeing our resurrection as well. This is of greatest importance!Do I live as though this is what matters most?
Do my actions and words reflect the reality of its significance?

For I passed on to you as most important what I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures,” – 1 Corinthians 15:3-4

  1. A Hope That Will Never DisappointThere’s a common phrase in sports: “It’s the hope that kills you.” We all know the pain of placing hope in something—or someone—that ultimately lets us down.Where are you placing your hope?
How does the resurrection of Jesus offer a new kind of hope—one that will never disappoint?
How should this living hope reshape every other hope or discouragement in your life?

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. Because of his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead” – 1 Peter 1:3

  1. The Body and the Resurrection

Have you ever truly considered what it means that Jesus was resurrected in bodily form? He ate with His disciples. He invited Thomas to touch the wounds in His hands and side.

The eternal Son of God stepped into His creation, took on human flesh, died, and then rose again—still in human form! His body was changed, glorified, yet still tangible. One day, we will receive glorified bodies like His. But don’t miss the profound significance: Jesus has forever united Himself with humanity.

What does this show us about the way we should view our body?
How does this inform the way we can expect to encounter the Lord Himself when we see Him face to face?

So it is with the resurrection of the dead: Sown in corruption, raised in incorruption; sown in dishonor, raised in glory; sown in weakness, raised in power; sown a natural body, raised a spiritual body. If there is a natural body, there is also a spiritual body.” – 1 Corinthians 15:42-44

For Prayer: Pray for those who visited our church or another for the first time, or even after a long time away. Pray that the gospel proclaimed would work powerfully in their lives for salvation.
